Thank you to the generosity of Alex Avitabile who in Loving Memory of his wife Theresa Lui Avitabile

established a Catholic Education Scholarship Fund for the past three years children in our parish have

received help towards their Catholic education tuition. If you have children in Catholic school please contact

the parish office to provide the name, grade and Catholic school your child attends.

Thank you to all who cooked, helped and attended our

monthly luncheon we made $580.00 for the parish needs and congratulations to our 5050 winner Emily O’Leary

Thank you to the Spanish community in St. Paul who fundraised $500 for the month of January from the

Sunday coffee and bake sale after mass.

Annual Catholic Appeal 2020: The work and services made possible through your donation to

the Annual Catholic Appeal help people in Brooklyn and Queens in ways that no one parish can alone. We thank all who

participated with a gift to the 2019 Appeal and ask that everyone prayerfully consider making a gift to the

2020 Annual Catholic Appeal. As of March 1st three families have generously donated $1,495.00 towards our

parish goal of $41,352.00. Everything over our goal comes back to our parish of two beautiful churches.

to the glorious light of Easter! We wanted the symbol of Christ’s cross in ashes on our foreheads; everyone who saw us knows that we are followers of Jesus Christ. Let us try to be

better followers and live this Lenten journey as a time of prayer, penance, fasting, and works of charity and mercy!

Promise yourself to come & be part of the occasions we offer to receive God’s grace. EVERYONE can do these helpful &

powerful practices : Come to Mass a few minutes EARLIER, read over the day’s Scriptures. This will help you clear away

distractions and focus on the Mass. Please keep prayerful silence before Mass. Fully participate in the celebration of Mass by singing the hymns and responding to the prayers.

Please stay until the end of Mass! You wouldn’t abruptly race out of someone’s home right after you finish eating

dinner...would you?
