A LITTLE ABOUT MRS. WHITE I graduated from Kennesaw
State University in 1989 with a B.S. in Communications
This will be my 3rd year of teaching at Creekland Middle School
My life-long goal is to instill love and confidence in people so that they can realize their worth and importance in this world.
I have been married for 23 years. My husband is currently a teacher at Etowah High School.
I have 3 boys who have all gone through Creekland M.S. Andrew and Graham are attending CHVS, and Jesse is attending Southern Polytechnic University this fall.
We have 4 precious cats. One of whom is huge and loves to lie on his back.
A LITTLE ABOUT MRS. BROWN•This is my 7th year teaching at CMS
•I have my Masters in Middle Grades Literature
•I have been married for 8 years. I have 1 daughter, MaryJo, who will be 4 at the end of the month and a new baby boy.
•I have 1 dog, Skunk.
•I love to read, scuba dive, and deer hunt.
•.•My son, Bo, was just born this July and we are doing great. •I will be joining you later in the 1st quarter.•Ms. Dallas will be my long-term substitute until I return.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
3 Subject Spiral notebook with pockets OR 1” 3 ring binder with pockets
Section 1: Warmups/Journal Entries Section 2: Notes/Vocabulary Section3: Daily Activities – comprehension questions, short responses, summaries, etc…

HOMEWORKRead 30 minutes each weeknight or spread it out for a total of 120 minutes per week
Finish incomplete work or missed work
Study for tests and quizzes!!
READING COUNTSReading Counts Quarterly Goal Meet your individual reading goals (1 fiction, 1
nonfiction, 1 of your choice each quarter) Take RC tests on books Increase your lexile score – Earn Rewards no whining Earn rewards for meeting goals Earn a 100 on a Test grade each quarter! No reading logs next quarter if met goal on previous

Reading Logs 2 hours (120 minutes) of reading each week Due every Tuesday

Keep track of your reading in your agenda and on the wall chart.
Earn rewards! (every 6 books, highest class RC points party, and RC participation parties)
