Tia Gueye, IB Coordinator, Mathematics and Biology. Ms. Gueye received a BS in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester and an MS in biomedical engineering from the University of California at Irvine. She has taught mathematics in New York City high schools and recently earned an MS in secondary mathematics education from the City College of New York.

Cassandra Dragon, English, World Cultures and Political Science. Ms Dragon received a BA in Asian studies from Bowdoin College and studied in Harbin, China. She taught and managed English programmes in Shanghai and Taipei before earning an MEd in international education from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Oxana Litvine, Biology and Chemistry Teacher.Dr. Litvine received an MS in physiology from Moscow State University and trained as a behavioral neuroscientist at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. In 1999 she received a PhD in biology, having written a PhD thesis about mechanisms of learning and memory. She has worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in neurobiology in Russia, Switzerland and the USA and has published several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Litvine has taught students from around the world and tutored extensively in New York, where all her students have successfully passed the New York Regents exams in biology and chemistry.

Our school offers the American High School Programme Grades 9-10 for students aged 14-16, followed by the prestigious two-year IB Diploma Programme aimed at students aged 16-19. The IB Programme leads to a qualification widely recognised by the world’s top universities. We also offer a High School Preparation Programme for students who want to enhance language skills and academic proficiency before embarking on one of the school’s challenging high school programmes.

EF International Academy New York is a private and secure boarding school with beautifully renovated grounds and on-campus housing for students. House parents live on campus and are available 24 hours a day.
