1. AVVERTENZE

− Procedereallosballaggioedallainstallazionedelprodottooperandoconmassimacautela;siconsiglia,perevitareferiteaccidentali,l’usodiguantiprotettivi.

− Dopoaversballatol’apparecchioassicurarsichenonsiadanneggiato.Eventualidannidevonoesseresegnalatialrivenditoreentroenonoltrele24oredalladatadiacquisto.

− Ilprodottodeveessereusatoesclusivamenteperlaproduzionedighiaccio.LaVitrifrigodeclinaogniresponsabilitàperusiimpropridelprodotto.

− L’apparecchiodeveessereposizionatolontanodafontidicaloreassicurandoalmedesimosufficienteaerazione(vediindicazionisuccessive).

− Siconsigliadiattenderealmenoun’oraprimadimettereinfunzionel’impiantoperdarmodoalcircuitorefrigerantediesserecompletamenteefficiente.

3. INSTALLAZIONE

Assicurarsi che l’apparecchio non sia danneggiato. Eventuali danni di trasportodevonoesseresegnalati tempestivamenteal rivenditoreecomunquenonoltre le24oresuccessiveallaconsegna.Manipolareilprodottoconlamassimaattenzione.Posizionaresempreil fabbricatoresupianoorizzontale.L’apparecchiodeveessereposizionato in luogo asciutto lontano da fonti di calore assicurando almedesimosufficiente aerazione, se installato ad incasso predisporre il mobile contenitoredi dueaperture, una in corrispondenzadelle feritoie presenti sul frontalino I), lasecondasullapareteposterioreallineataall’anterioreopreferibilmentesullapartesuperioredelmobile.Taliaperturedovrannoavereunasuperficienon inferioreai300cm2.Qualoranonfossepossibile, lasciareuncanaledialmeno50mmfra lapartesuperioredelfabbricatoreedilpianosoprastante(vedifig.2).Lasciarefermol’apparecchio per almeno un’ora prima dimetterlo in funzione. In tale intervalloprocedereallaprimapulizia.

4. COLLEGAMENTOELETTRICO

Primadicollegareilprodottoassicurarsichelatensionediretecorrispondaaquellariportatasullatarghettadi identificazioneoaquellaindicatasullatarghettapostasulcompressore.E’obbligatoriaaterminidileggelamessaaterradell’apparecchio.Assicurarsicheilsistemadimessaaterradell’impiantoelettricosiaperfettamenteefficiente.Sideclinaogniresponsabilitàpereventualidannisubitidapersoneocosederivantidallamancataosservanzaditalenorma.E’ sconsigliabile l’uso di adattatori, presemultiple e prolunghe. Se il loro uso sirendesse indispensabile utilizzare esclusivamentemateriale conforme alle vigentinormedisicurezzafacendoattenzioneanonsuperareillimitediportatainvaloredicorrenteriportatosuimaterialistessi.Incasodiincompatibilitàfralapresaelaspinadell’apparecchiosostituire lapresaconaltradi tipoadatto.Taleoperazionedeveessereeseguitadapersonalequalificatoilqualedovràaccertarechelasezione

5. AVVIAMENTO All’attodell’installazionel’IceMakerrealizzaunprimocicloavuotoedisuccessivicicliconproduzionedighiaccio.Loscaricodeiprimicubettiavvienedopocirca1ora.

5.1. AVVIAMENTO MODELLO “REFILL”Aprirelaporta,estrarrelavaschettacontenimentoghiaccio,versareacquapotabileattraversoilbocchettonenelserbatoio(K)(min.1litro/max.5litri)(vedifig.1),verificandoillivelloacquadall’appositafinestra(H).Eseguirequestaoperazionelentamente per evitare la fuoriuscita dell’acqua. Inserire la spina nella presadi corrente,accendere l’interruttore (A)eposizionare lamanopola inmodalità“Produzioneghiaccio“.ATTENZIONE: Riempire il serbatoio utilizzando esclusivamente acquapotabile.

5.2. AVVIAMENTO MODELLO “HYDRO”Collegarelareteidricaalbocchettonefilettato(4)presentesull’elettrovalvola(E)mediante l’apposito tuboflessibile (3) indotazione (vedi fig.4). L’apparecchioè previsto per il funzionamento con pressione idrica compresa fra 1 e 3 bar.Assicurarsi che la rete idrica fornisca acqua potabile e che la pressione siataledaottenereunaproduzionedighiaccioperciclocompresa fra120/135gr(pressione ottimale 2 bar). E’ consigliato l’utilizzo di un rubinetto sulla lineaidrica.Èpossibilevariareleggermenteladimensionedellemezzelunealfinediottenereunaproduzionedighiaccioperciclocorretta.Atalfineleggereilcapitolo“REGOLAZIONEFINEINGRESSOACQUA”.Inserirelaspinanellapresadicorrente,accendere l’interruttore (A)eposizionare lamanopola inmodalità “Produzioneghiaccio“.

6. REGOLAZIONE “FINE” INGRESSO ACQUA

Agendoconuncacciavitesullavitediregolazionedel livelloacqua(vedifig.1)sispostailcontattodirettamentesullacubettiera.

−Girandolaviteinsensoorario diminuiscelaquantitàdiacqua−Girandolaviteinsensoantiorario aumentalaquantitàdiacqua

Unarotazionecompleta(360°)produceunriempimentodi40cm³diacqua(~2.4sec.). Unamezza rotazione (180°) produce un riempimento di 20 cm³ di acqua(~1.2sec.)

7. UTILIZZO DELL’ICE MAKER

7.1. MODALITÁPRODUZIONEGHIACCIODurantelaproduzionedighiaccioiltermostato(M)(vedifig.1ofig.4)deveessereruotatoinposizione“iceproduction”(vedifig.1a)alfinediottenerelaproduzionedimezzelunebenformate.Ilciclodiproduzionehailseguentesvolgimento:

−PRODUZIONE

Ilbasamentodellacubettieravieneriempitod’acquaeiltermostatointernoallacubettieraèinposizioneaperta.

Al raggiungimento della temperatura prefissata ha inizio il ciclo di espulsione del ghiaccio dalla cubettiera (J) (~ 40 min.).

−ESPULSIONE

1 Unavoltaatemperaturailtermostatosichiudeesiattivanolaresistenzaeilmotorino.

2 Lelameestrattricipremerannosulghiacciofinchènonsisaràstaccato;laresistenzaèsempreattiva.

3 Lelameestraggonoicubettidighiacciodallasedeversandolinellavaschetta(B).

Il ciclo di produzione ghiaccio prosegue fino al riempimento della vaschettaraccolta ghiaccio (B) o, per le versioni REFILL, all’esaurimento dell’acqua nelserbatoio(D).

7.2. MODALITÁMANTENIMENTODuranteilmantenimento,laproduzionedighiaccioèinterrotta.Durantequestafaseiltermostato(M)(vedifig.1ofig.4)deveessereruotatoinposizione“icemaintaining”(vedifig.1a).Taleposizionedeltermostatopermetteilmantenimentodelle mezze lune alle condizioni ottimali anche per periodi prolungati. Taleposizionedel termostatodurante la fasedimantenimento,evita la formazionedellostratodighiacciosulbordofrontaledellavasca,sullapartefrontaledellacubettierariducendoinoltreilconsumodelfabbricatore.Ilmantenimentoentrainfunzionequando:− Mancal'acqua(VersioneREFILL).Perripristinarelafabbricazionedelghiacciooccorreràriempireilserbatoio.− Vascapienadighiaccio.Perripristinarelafabbricazionedelghiacciosaràsufficientesvuotarelavasca,(ancheparzialmente).

NOTA: Verificare periodicamente il livello acqua mediante il visualizzatore livello acqua (H) ed eventualmente versare nuova acqua. Un insufficiente livello acqua comporta o la sospensione della produzione di ghiaccio o la produzione di cubetti irregolari, potendo anche arrecare danni alla pompa.

8. INATTIVITÁDELFABBRICATORE

Terminatol’utilizzodelfabbricatore,alfinedipreservarealmegliolesuefunzionalitàedevitarelaformazionedimuffe,procederecomesegue.Spegnereilfabbricatoreescollegarlodall’impiantoelettrico.svuotarelavaschettadiraccoltadelghiaccio(B).Attendereche labrinapresenteall’internodellavascasiacompletamentesciolta.Asciugareaccuratamentelepareti internedel fabbricatore.Lasciare laportasemiapertaaffinchépossarealizzarsiunricambiod’ariaenonsicreiumiditàall’internodellavasca.PerleversioniREFILLsvuotareilserbatoio(D)(vedifig.1)seguendoleindicazioniriportatenelparagrafo“PULIZIADELFABBRICATORE”

9. PULIZIADELFABBRICATORE

Prima di procedere alla pulizia assicurarsi che il fabbricatore non sia collegatoall’impiantoelettrico.Incasocontrariodisinserirelaspinadallapresadicorrente.ESTERNO.Lavarel’esternodelfabbricatoreconacquatiepida,ripassareconacquafreddaedasciugareconunpannomorbido.Evitarel’usodiprodottiabrasivi.INTERNO.Toglierelavaschettaraccoltaghiaccio(B)eprocedereallapuliziautilizzandoacquatiepida con l’aggiunta di bicarbonato di sodio o aceto. Sciacquare ed asciugareaccuratamente con un panno morbido. Evitare tassativamente l’uso di prodottiabrasivi,detergentiosaponi.CONDENSATORE.E’consigliabileeffettuare,almenounavoltal’anno,lapuliziadelcondensatore(I)(vedifig.1)permezzodiunaaspirapolvereodiunpennelloasciutto.SERBATOIO.(soloversioneREFILL)E’consigliabileeffettuare,almenounavoltaognitremesi,lapuliziadelserbatoio(G)(vedifig.1)procedendocomesegue:(vedifig.3)a) svitarecompletamente lavite (1)presentesul frontalino (G) ruotandola insensoantiorariob) farscorrereilfrontalinoverticalmenteversoilbassoperqualchecentimetroedestrarloanteriormentec) estrarre il serbatoio (D) facendo attenzione al tubo acqua ed al cavo dicollegamento(vedifig.3)d) Conuncacciavitesvitareleviti(2)edestrarrelapompa(F)dallasede.Eseguirelapuliziadelserbatoioconacqua.Procedendoinsensoinverso,riporreilserbatoionelsuoalloggioeriposizionareilfrontalinoverificandocheipernipresentinell’alettainferioreentrinoneiforipresentisullabasedelfabbricatore.NOTA: procedere alle operazioni di pulizia del serbatoio operando con la massima cautela facendo particolare attenzione al condensatore (I) che, per sua natura, presenta superfici taglienti; si consiglia, per evitare ferite accidentali, l’uso di guanti protettivi (DPI) a norma.

10. COSA FARE SE IL FRIGO NON FUNZIONA

1. WARNINGS

− This manual refers only to ice makers manufactured by VITRIFRIGOs.r.l.

− Unpackandinstallthemachinewiththeutmostcareandattention.Theuseofprotectiveglovestoavoidaccidentalinjuriesisrecommended.

− Afterunpackingthemachine,makesurethatitisnotdamagedinanyway.Anydamagemustbecommunicatedtotheretailernomorethan24hoursfromthedateofpurchase.

− Thisproductmustbeusedexclusivelyforthepurposesofmakingice.Vitrifrigocanacceptnoliabilityforimproperuse.

− Themachinemustbepositionedfarawayfromsourcesofheatanditmustbeproperlyventilated(seethefollowinginstructions).

− We recommend waiting at least one hour before putting the machine intooperationinordertoallowtherefrigeratingcircuittoreachmaximumefficiency.

− Beforeconnectingthemachinetothemainspowersupply,makesurethatthevoltagecorrespondstothatgivenonthemachineorcompressorratingplates.

− Makesurethattheelectricalsystemearthinginstallationis inperfectworkingorder.

− Aftercompletingtheinstallation,makesurethatthemachineisnotrestinguponthepowercable.

Thelabelthatshowstheserialnumberandtechnicaldataispositionedontheinsideoftheicemaker,inthetopleft-handsection.Thefirstfournumbersoftheserialnumbershowtheyearandweekinwhichthemachinewasbuilt.

3. INSTALLATION

Makesurethatthemachineisnotdamagedinanyway.Anydamagescausedduringtransportmustbecommunicated to the retailer indue timeand inanycase,nomorethan24hoursfromthetimeofdelivery.Handlethemachinewiththeutmostcareandattention.Alwayspositiontheicemakeronahorizontal,flatsurface.Theicemakermustbepositionedinadryarea,wellawayfromanysourcesofheat.Sufficientventilationmustalsobeguaranteedand,ifthemachineistobeboxedin,twoopeningsmustbemadeinitscontainingunit:thefirstopeningmustbemadeincorrespondencetotheslitsonthefrontpanelI);thesecondopeningmustbealignedwiththefrontor-preferably-theupperpartofthefurnitureunit.Theseopeningsmustbeno less than300sq.cm. If it isnotpossible tocarryout thisoperation,thenagapofat least50mmmustbe leftbetweenthetopof the icemakerandthesurfaceaboveit(seeFig.2).Leavethemachineidleforatleastonehourbeforeputtingitintooperation.Duringthistime,itispossibletocarryouttheinitialcleaningoperations.

4. ELECTRICALCONNECTIONS

Beforeconnectingthemachine,makesurethatthemainsvoltagecorrespondstothatgivenonthemachineorcompressorratingplates.Thismachinemustbeearthedinaccordancewiththelawsinforce.Makesurethattheelectricalsystemearthinginstallationisinperfectworkingorder.Themanufacturer hereby refuses to accept any liability for damages topeopleorpropertyarisingfromthefailuretorespectthisregulation.The use of adapters, multiple sockets, or extension leads is not recommended.Shoulditbenecessarytouseoneofthelatter,alwaysusematerialsthatconformtothesafetystandards inforceandtakecarenottoexceedthecurrentcapacitylimitsstatedonthematerialsthemselves.Intheeventthattheicemakerplugisnotcompatiblewiththesocket,itispreferabletoreplacethesocketwithanother,

moresuitabletype.Aqualifiedtechnician,whomustensurethatthesocketwiringissuitablefortheelectricalinputofthemachine,shouldcarryoutthisoperation.

5. OPERATION

Afterithasbeeninstalled,theIceMakerwillrunanemptycycleandthenproduceiceduringallsubsequentcycles.Thefirstcubeswillbedispensedafterapproximately1hour.

5.1. STARTING “REFILL” MODELOpenthedoor,removetheicetrayandpourdrinkingwaterintothetankthroughthefiller(K)(min.1litre/max.8litres)(seeFig.1),checkingthewaterlevelthroughtherelevantwindow(H).Thisoperationshouldbecarriedoutslowlyinordertoavoidanywateroverflow.Plugthemachineintothepowersocketandswitchonthemainswitch(A).CAUTION:Thetankshouldbefilledwithdrinkingwateronly.

5.2. STARTING “HYDRO” MODELConnectthewatermainstothethreadedfiller(4)onthesolenoidvalve(E)usingthespecialhose(3)supplied(seeFig.4).Themachineisequippedtooperateatawaterpressureofbetween1and3bar.Make sure that thewatermains supply drinkingwater and that the pressureofthewaterissufficienttoproducebetween120–135goficepercycle(theoptimumpressureis2bar).Werecommendfittingashut-offvalveonthewaterline.Itispossibletomakeslightchangestothesizeofthecrescent-shapedicecubestoarriveatacorrecticemakingcycle.Todothis,readthesectionentitled“ACCURATEADJUSTMENTWATERSET-UP”.

6. ACCURATEADJUSTMENTWATERSET-UP

Useascrewdriveron thewater leveladjustmentscrew(seeFig.1) tomove thecontactdirectlyonthegridassembly.

−Turnthescrewclockwise toreducetheamountofwater−Turnthescrewanticlockwise toincreasetheamountofwater

Afullturn(360°)willfillwith40cm³water(~2.4sec.)Ahalfturn(180°)willfillwith20cm³water(~1.2sec.)

7. HOW TO USE THE ICE MAKER

7.1.ICE-MAKINGMODEWhilemaking ice, themachine thermostat (M) (see fig. 1 or fig. 4) needs tobe turned to the“ice production”mode (see fig. 1a) tomake properly formedcrescent-shapedicecubes.

Theice-makingcycleisasfollows:

−PRODUCTION

Thebaseofthegridassemblyisfilledwithwaterandthethermostatremainsintheopenposition.

Once the set temperature has been reached, the cycle for ice ejection from the grid assembly (J) (~ 40 min.) will begin.

−EJECTION

1 Onceatthecorrecttemperature,thethermostatwillclose,enablingtheheatingelementandthemotor.

2 Theextractorbladeswillpressontheiceuntilitdetaches;theheatingelementremainsenabled.

3 Thebladesextracttheicecubesfromtheirseating,pouringthemintothetray(B).

The ice production cycle continues until the ice tray (B) has been filled or until the water in the tank (D) has been used.

7.2.MAINTENANCEMODEDuringmaintenance operations, the ice-making operations are interrupted. Atthisstage,thethermostat(M)(seefig.1orfig.4)mustbeturnedtothe“icemaintaining”position(seefig.1a).Thisthermostatsettingkeepstheicecubesinoptimumcondition,evenforlongperiods.Duringthemaintenancestage,thethermostatissettopreventtheformationofalayeroficeonthefrontsectionofthetrayoronthefrontofthegridassembly,aswellasreducingicemakerpowerconsumption.Themachineentersmaintenancemodewhen:− Thereisnowater(REFILLversion).Refillthetanktoresetthemachinetoice-makingmode.− Thetrayisfullofice.Emptythetray(evenpartly),torestthemachinetoice-makingmode.

PLEASENOTE: Check the water level of the machine on a regular basis, using the indicator (H), and pour in more water if necessary. Insufficient water will lead to the production of ice being suspended or to the production of irregular-shaped cubes, and may even cause damage to the pump.

8. INACTIVITYOFTHEMAKER

After using themachine, to keep it in perfectworking order and preventmouldfromforming,proceedasfollows.Switchofftheicemakerandunplugitfromthemainspower.Emptyouttheicetray(B).Waitforthefrostinsidethetraytomeltcompletely.Drytheinsideoftheicemaker.Leavethedoorslightlyopentoallowairtocirculatesothatmoisturebuildupdoesnotforminsidethetray.ForREFILLversions,emptythetank(D)(seefig.1) followingthe instructions inthesectionentitled“CLEANINGTHEICEMAKER.”

9. CLEANINGTHEICEMAKER

Beforecleaningtheicemaker,makesurethatitisnotconnectedtothemainspowersupply.Ifconnected,unplugit.EXTERIORWashtheicemakerexteriorwithlukewarmwater,rinsewithcoldwater,anddrywithasoftcloth.Donotuseabrasiveproducts.INTERIORRemovetheicetray(B)andproceedtocleanusingwarmwatermixedwithalittlebicarbonateofsodaorvinegar.Rinsecarefullyanddrythoroughlyusingasoftcloth.Neveruseabrasiveproducts,detergentsorsoap.CONDENSERThecondenserI)shouldbecleanedatleastonceayear(seeFig.1),usingavacuumcleaneroradrysoftbrush.TANK(REFILLversiononly)ThetankG)shouldbecleanedatleastonceeverythreemonths(seeFig.1)andproceedingasfollows(seeFig.3):a) completely unscrew the screw (1) on the front panel (G) by turning itanticlockwiseb) slidethefrontpaneldownwardsforafewcentimetresandremovefromthefront(3)c) removethetank(D)beingcarefulnottodisturbthewaterhoseorthepowercable(seeFig.3)d) useascrewdriverandloosenthescrews(2)andremovethepump(F)fromitsseating.Cleanthepumpwithwater.Followtheseinstructionsinreverseordertorepositionthepumpinitsseatingandreplacethefrontpanel,makingsurethatthepinsonthelowerfinentercorrectlyintotheholesonthebaseoficemaker.NOTE: when cleaning the tank, be especially careful of the sharp surfaces to be found on the condenser (I). The use of standard (PPE) protective gloves to prevent accidental injuries is strongly recommended.

10. WHATTODOIFTHEREFRIGERATORDOESNOTWORK

10.1.THEAPPLIANCEDOESNOTWORKCheckthat:− powerisbeingsuppliedtothemachine− theautomaticswitchofthemainspowersystemhasnotbeenswitchedoff− theplugisinperfectworkingorderandiscorrectlyinsertedintothesocket− thesocketisinperfectworkingorder.Tocheckthis,pluginanappliance

thatyouknowtowork− thepowercableisnotinterrupted.

10.2.THEICEMAKERISNOISYCheckthat:− theicemakerisproperlylevel− theicemakerisnotincontactwithanyunitsthatcancauseittovibrate− thecoolingcircuitpipesatthemachinerearhavenocontactpointsandthat theydonotvibrateagainstthemachine.

3-INSUFFICIENTICEPRODUCTIONCheckthat:− thedoorclosureisairtight− theicemakerisnotclosetosourcesofheat− theicemakerisproperlyventilated− thecondenserisnotblockedbydust− thefancanrotatefreely

4-THEICEMAKERDOESNOTPRODUCEICECheckthat:− therefrigeratingsystemisoperatingcorrectly− thereiswaterinthegridassembly(J);− thereissufficientwaterinthetankorthatthewatermainsisoperating correctly− theinternaltemperatureoftheICEMAKERis≤-15°C− theice-levelsensor(C)isinthepositionindicatedinFig.1− ifwaterispresentinthegridassembly,makesurethatthecoolingsystemis operatingcorrectly(L).

5-THEICEMAKERDOESNOTEJECTICECheckthat:− iceispresentinthegridassembly.− Ifthisisthecase,resettheappliancebyswitchingitofffor4-5hours.

Ifthemachinestilldoesnotoperatecorrectlyattheendofthesechecks,contactthetechnicalassistanceservice.
