How do I Attract/Address my audience?

Page 2: Question 5 attract-evaluation

After creating a questionnaire to collect the audience most preferable colour scheme choices .The most popular colours were quite dark. So I chose to do this colour scheme and kept it simple throughout as it would appeal to the indie scene. Also the clothing matched the colour scheme and compliment each other well so it attracts them more, to make my cover-lines stand out I added a dash of yellow to pop off the page.

The embossed and bold title is the biggest text on the cover, attracting the audience.

The yellow highlighted cover-lines engages the audience as it attracts them and makes them want to know more.

"The truth about indie" attracts the audience as they know that if they buy this magazine they will be getting everything the indie fans want such as information, stories and news about the bands/artists they enjoy.

The artist is giving direct address which attracts the audience eyes creating a connection between the artist and reader. Catching their eyes and pulling them in to the magazine.

The use of the words "New year, New sound" intrigues the audience to want to get involved and hear the new music material. As being a fan of Indie music they would want to know

This strip is to inform the audience that they are getting more for what they are paying for. It also adds extra information about the bands and artist they enjoy, appealing to them because they want to know news/information about them

The magazine title is reinforced so it is known by the audience.

The wide range of features interests the audiences and reminds them that the magazine is a reasonable price for the amount of content they receive.

These images relate to the audience and appeal to them as they are pictures of bands performing and festivals that fits in to the indie genre. That certain image is giving direct address connecting to the audience. Also after producing the questionnaire the results shown their favourite bands, so that help me pick what images of bands to put in this contents page.

The quotes on the pictures from certain bands, attract the indie fans as they want to find out the story behind the positive comments made about there favourite bands.

The Regulars and reviews break yup the content and make it look more approachable to the audience.

It attracts the audience as it includes a website and social networking which makes it more personal between the magazine and readers.

The artist would appeal to the audience because he has that indie attitude. Not interested and laid-back looking. His outfit would also appeal as his outfit follows the indie look. The skinny jeans and checked shirt which also reflects the front cover image.

The title is the biggest text and very bold this would catch the audiences eye.

The language used on this double page spread is informal and slang. This would attract the audience because they use it in their everyday lives.

Within my article I have used personal pronouns to make the audience feel involved.

The entire image bleeds over both pages. The brick wall was turned into a colour less dull that would attract and appeal to the indie audience as in the questionnaire this was a popular colour, so overall it followed a simple colour scheme.

The paragraphs are broken up so it looks a lot more approachable. I also asked questions that the indie audience would want to know about. This would then ensure the fact that the audience will purchase this magazine again.
