As we celebrate 100 years of excellence in healthcare service, we invite you to support the ongoing work of Piedmont Athens Regional (PAR) with a sponsorship through Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation. In our centennial year, our Board of Directors has identified several program areas as Centennial Priorities. These PAR departments serve our community with superior clinical services and unique patient support programs. Sponsorship funds will support program delivery in these key areas below:

1) Cancer Care Services Piedmont Athens Regional’s Cancer Care Services includes the Breast Health Center, Loran Smith

Center for Cancer Support, and the Beautiful You Boutique.

2) Women & Children’s Services Piedmont Athens Regional provides family-centered care throughout all stages of life—Labor & De-

livery, Midwifery, Neonatology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatrics.

3) Magill-Miller Heart Failure Clinic The Magill-Miller Advanced Heart Failure Clinic at Piedmont Heart Institute – Athens is committed to

helping people at all stages of heart failure feel better, live longer and stay out of the hospital.

4) Graduate Medical Education Program and the Community Care Clinic With 45 Internal Medicine residents and 10 residents in the Transitional Year program, PAR’s

Graduate Medical Education Program residents complete hands-on training in the hospital as well as

in the PAR Community Care Clinic.

Pink Party October 2019 Party with a Purpose to learn more about PAR’s extensive services for breast cancer patients. Trunk or Treat – PAR Oconee Health Campus October 25, 2019 Over 2,000 joined us in 2018! Free to participate, guests enjoy costumes and candy in a family-friendly setting. Centennial Holiday Celebration December 4, 2019 Trim the tree, enjoy a cup of cocoa with Santa, & help us light the Healing Garden.

In Their Shoes 10K March 21, 2020 The start/finish line will return to the Loran Smith Center For Cancer Support. All proceeds will continue to allow the Loran Smith Center to provide free services to cancer patients and their families. Mint Jubilee May 2, 2020 The Mint Jubilee returns in 2020 with several exciting new features. It promises to be one of the best Kentucky Derby parties ever! Dogwood Classic Golf Tournament Fall 2020 Join your fellow golfers for a beautiful day out on the UGA Golf Course White Coat Tours Fall 2020 PAR’s White Coat Tours will start in the Fall of 2020 and will be held every other month. They will fea-ture an overview presentation of Piedmont Athens Regional by CEO Michael Burnett and a behind the scenes tour of four areas in the hospital.
