EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Eucharistic Adoration is scheduled from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon in the Sacred Heart Chapel on Friday, November 7 . The custom of spending an hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament arose from the desire of devout souls to give an affirmative answer to the sorrowful question of the Savior in Gethsemane, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?" (MT. 26:40) For more information or any questions, please contact Sue Mobley at 797-3517.

MASS INTENTIONS AND SCHEDULE A NOTE FROM FATHER LEN Prayer is important not only when we need something but when we are plodding through our day-to-day lives. It gives us strength so that when life throws us a curveball, we are able to center ourselves and connect not only with our God but also our Church. One year ago this month, we lost a teen from our parish community, Zach Allen. The Allens are active members of Our Lady of Lourdes and our local community. They are also people of prayer and hope. The loss of a child, a brother, a grandson is difficult; however, their faith and the support of their parish community has given them great hope. Nina Forestiere and the Youth Group recently decided that they would like to do something to remember Zach. With the grateful assistance of Ralph Barca of Sorella’s Pizzeria, a special Dine In/Dine Out event will be held this Thursday, October 30. Twenty percent of all Sorella’s profits from that day will be donated to the Zach Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund. Please consider participating in this event as well as keeping the Allens in your prayers. Although Zach is no longer with us, his memory stays alive as we keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

ACT NOW TO STOP ASSISTED SUICIDE IN NEW JERSEY VOTE NO ON A2270

A2270, a bill allowing assisted suicide, was released by the NJ Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee and could be posted for a vote in the full Assembly at any time. This bill would allow a person who has a terminal disease to request a prescription from a physician for a lethal drug that would end their life. Terminal disease is defined in the bill as an incurable and irreversible disease that has been medically confirmed and will, within reasonable medical judgment, result in a patient’s death. Please ask members of the Assembly to vote “NO” on A2270. Our duty is to assist those who are dying...not kill them! Go to https://votervoice.net/NJCC/home to contact your legislator.
