• Estoy harto de hacer tanta tarea. Me voy al parque para jugar al baloncesto. I’m sick of doing so much homework. I’m going to the park to play basketball.

• Esos niños son muy corteses. Sus padres les han enseñado bien. Those children are very polite. Their parents have taught them well.

• Mi abuela está jubilada. Ya no tiene que ir al trabajo cada día. My grandmother is retired. She no longer has to go to work every day.

• ¿Tienes un deseo ardiente de estudiar español? Do you have a burning desire to study Spanish?

• Un globo es redondo. The globe is round

• Ese cuchillo no está afilado; no se puede cortar nada con él. That knife is not sharp, you can’t cut anything with it.

• Estas papas están muy sosas; ¡echa más sal, por favor! These potatoes are very bland, adds more salt, please!
