Military Care Packages and Feed My Starving Children
On behalf of St. Peter's Young Adults, thank you SO MUCH for your generosity for the military care packages! Wow! We received so many donations from you and businesses that we not only made thirty military care packages, we have enough for another 20 boxes or so! We are still in need of funds to cover the cost of postage, so if you would like to donate to that it would be greatly appreciated. The soldiers are going to receive a nice surprise! Thank you!!!
Our next St. Peter's Young Adults event is:
Feed My Starving Children on April 12th.
Jesus said, "for I was hungry and you gave me food" (Mt. 25:35 (RSVCE)). We'll roll up our sleeves and make hundreds, if not thousands, of nutritious meals for the poor.
Have you ever served at Feed My Starving Children? Why not this Lent? See Page 5 for other FMSC days.
God bless you, Fr. Ben

Saint Andrew’s Family Shelter:
The shelter has been full since mid-February. Lots of single moms with kids are working hard to do what they need to do to secure permanent housing. Here is a link to a blog that's been created for people to get updated information on what's happening at the shel- ter: safshugo.blogspot.com
We now have the other three weeks of our annual four week commit- ment set for volunteering at the St. Andrew's Family Shelter in Hugo. Check your calendar and find a time that works for you! Use the links below to get to the sign-up sheet for each week.
If you are not signing up for an overnight because you need to leave before 9:15am (the end of the overnight shift), please let me know. We can split the shift into 2 parts and get someone to cover the early morning so you can get to work on time. May 19-25, 2019, (ttsu.me/c2jam4) July 21-27, 2019, (ttsu.me/pvuhnb) October 20-26, 2019, (ttsu.me/apw3cd ) Invite someone to join you for a shift! Applications, Background Check forms, and Virtus training information are on the bulletin board by the north door (door 4) of the Church of St. Peter. If you prefer them electronically, email me back and I can send them to you. Thanks so much for your help in providing a warm, welcoming place for the homeless! God Bless! We are pleased to inform you that St. Peter’s Church now has a new solution to make donating simple and easy, while at the same time keeping the process safe and secure. We are upgrading our online giving program for parishion- ers who would like to make weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual offerings, as well as donations and payments to oth- er parish special collections. We have decided to use the WeShare Online Giving program for the well-being and growth of our parish. We are working with Liturgical Publications Inc, a publisher of communication tools for churches for over for- ty years. Over 3,500 non-profit communities and 100,000 businesses trust LPi to deliver their message, so we feel we can have confidence in them to assist us with increasing the financial security of our parish community. LPi is also our bulletin publisher and demonstrates the highest security standards, and we are excited to partner with them.
The new website for online giving is: www.stpeterfl.weshareonline.org
If you have been giving to St. Peter Church using our for- mer OSV system, please visit the site: https://www.osvonlinegiving.com/1124 to log in and can- cel your payment before April 7th.
