Presidential Inaugural Parade

Osceola county, Fl - Maxwell Frost, a young man at Osceola School for the Arts - a 15 year-old sophomore - started a Latin band a while back with several friends, named “Seguro que Sí”, which means For Sure. There are 9 kids in the band and they have played all over the county at various events. Back in the fall, this student, with help from his Dad, sent in an application for his Latin band to play in the Inaugural Parade in D.C. A couple of days before Christmas, he was notified that they had been accepted, and invited to bring a float and play on it for the 4 hour duration of the parade! What an incredible accomplishment! They were THE ONLY band chosen

in the state of Florida, who was elected among 2,800 groups that applied to Washington with the hope of being selected.“When I received the call from the

Presidential Inaugural Committee inviting us to participate in the Parade I couldn’t believe it.” “President Obama has been a mayor inspiration in my life,” said Frost. When “Seguro que Sí” passed in front

of President Obama, he greeted, and immediately started to dance to the rhythm of Salsa, to which was followed by First Lady Michelle Obama.“We know that the Latin community

played an important part in the re-election of President Obama. Not only are we representing our state of Florida, but also and most importantly we are representing the Latin community,” said Maxwell Frost.

County clerk of the circuit court, will host a group wedding ceremony at the Historic Osceola County Courthouse in Kissimmee on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14.“Our courthouse is the oldest working courthouse in

the state, and this is an excellent backdrop for happy couples to get married in a civil ceremony on this special day,” Ramirez said.In order to participate in the 2013 Valentine wedding

event, couples must have purchased an application for a marriage license and registered for the event prior to Feb. 11.Like in past years, the clerk will waive the normal

$30 fee to perform the marriage ceremony. Standard marriage license fees will still apply. To participate, couples must sign up at the Marriage & Passport office.The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in front of

the Historic Courthouse, at #3 Courthouse Square in downtown Kissimmee. Couples will receive a special commemorative marriage certificate, which will be mailed within one week from the date of the ceremony with the official certificate of marriage. Estimated 167 manhole covers stolen from poincianapoinciana, Fl - On January 23, 2013, Toho Water

Authority reported that an estimate of 167 manhole covers were stolen overnight from an isolated area of Poinciana, commonly referred to as Village 8.The manholes are for sewer lines and not are

located in the middle of the roads or sidewalks but in adjacent lots. Toho crews and members of the police department responded quickly to the area

and proceed to cover them to protect the public safety. Each cover weight approximately 80 pounds and it

will cost nearly $25,000 to replace them. This is not the first time manhole covers are stolen.

About a month ago they lost around 40 of them in the same area. They have an approximated value

of $30 as scrap metal, but it is very difficult to sell them because the businesses know they are stolen. Toho officials are asking citizens to please report

any missing manhole covers to the Toho Customer Service Center at (407) 944-5000. Residents who spot any suspicious individuals working near manholes or removing the covers are asked to call 911 immediately.

Registered Felon Arrested for Stalking and Exposing Himself to Teen Osceola county, Fl - Osceola

County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mathew Bennett, a registered felon, and charged him with Exposure of Sex Organs and Stalking. The investigation began on January 16 at approximately 2:45 p.m. when deputies responded to a residence on Cirento Drive in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke

with the juvenile victim who indicated on the evening of January 14 she was alone at the Siesta Lago community mailbox located at 4750 Cirento Drive when she was approached by an unknown male, later identified as Mathew Bennett. He asked her the time and she began looking for her phone in her pocket. When she looked up, Bennett exposed himself and began

touching himself methodically in an inappropriate manner. The victim immediately left the area and went home. The next day at approximately 4:00 p.m., the victim was walking home when she was approached by Bennett, again who asked her for the time. The victim quickly left the area and went home. Later in the evening when

the victim was driving in the neighborhood with her mother, they saw Bennett at a residence on Siesta Lane. The victim was able to assist law enforcement with creating a composite sketch of Bennett. After further investigation, detectives identified Bennett as the suspect and detectives obtained a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Mother Arrested for child neglect Osceola county, Fl - Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies

arrested Natalie Figueroa and charged her with Child Neglect. On January 19 at approximately 2:17 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Rodeway Inn located at 4559 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in reference to a 911 disconnect. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the call came from one of the motel rooms. When they arrived at the room, a 7-year-old boy answered the door. He told deputies his mother and her boyfriend left him alone to go see a movie. In the room were open beer cans within reach of the child.Deputies contacted his mother, Figueroa who indicated she

which are fungi that thrive where it is damp and warm. They reproduce by spreading spores, asexual reproductive bodies. Spores are invisible to our eyes. They float through outdoor and indoor air. Molds that cause allergies include alternaria, aspergillus, cladosporium and penicillium.If you are allergic to molds, your

immune system overreacts when you inhale spores. Mold allergy symptoms can include sinusitis, sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, cough, postnasal drip, itchy and watery eyes. If you want to know if you are allergic to molds, see an allergist who can test you for your reaction to molds.[Personal note: I’m allergic to several

molds. I learned this recently after seeing an allergist. One damp evening years ago, I had our whole-house fan on. I sat in front of a window that was letting in a heavy stream of night air. Within a half-hour, I had to go to bed with what felt like the flu.] Reducing exposure to spores is the

best way to avoid symptoms. Here are some ways to keep mold spores away:* When doing yard work—especially

raking leaves—wear a dust mask over your nose and mouth. Mold is abundant where leaves or other vegetation are decomposing.* When the mold count is high, do

not drive with your car windows open. Use the air-conditioning with the windows closed.* When the nights are wet, sleep

with your windows closed. This is when the concentration of spores is the highest.* Reduce your outdoor time when

the weather is wet. The last thing you should do if you have an allergic reaction to molds is go out for a run or bike ride on a damp day.

Green card Holders Beware!

the United States often go through a lot of trouble to obtain their lawful status. After so much trouble many of them are relieved and begin to feel that they finally have an absolute right to stay in our Country. And, this is absolutely false. It is sometimes hard for me to

explain to clients that now that we have gone through all this legal “drama”, they still have to be somewhat guarded to ensure their Lawful Permanent Resident status is not revoked. A rough but reasonably useful

analogy would be to compare it to a drivers license. A drivers license is a privilege and to keep it you must abide by the rules and regulations. There is no absolute right to have a driver’s license. And, likewise, there is no absolute right to be issued a Lawful Permanent Residence card and permanently reside in our Country regardless of any future actions that may occur which would impugn immigration regulations. The next question I usually get is

“What are some of the ways I can get my Green Card cancelled?” To which I reply, “there is a plethora of things you can do to have your Lawful Permanent Resident Status,

and your entitlement to a green card canceled.” One reason which is particularly

shocking to those who accidentally get involved in it is the concept of “voluntarily” giving up your green card. This usually occurs by giving a government official, usually at some port of entry, the impression that you have established a domicile outside the United States. While not necessarily a requirement but, staying outside of our country for an extended amount of time, can give an immigration official, usually at the port of entry, cause to suspect that you have voluntarily relinquished you lawful permanent status. Crimes are also a significant

reason why your lawful permanent

residence card can be cancelled. An analysis is performed when a crime is alleged and/or committed

by a lawful permanent resident. Once this process is undertaken, and there exists a basis for an immigration official to believe that you are now inadmissible, you will receive a NTA (Notice to Appear). And, you would then have to show cause as to why you should still maintain the privilege of being a lawful permanent resident as opposed to an inadmissible person, subject to removal at the discretion of our government.It is worth nothing that even a

marijuana conviction can jeopardize your lawful permanent residence status, and possibly lead to your removal from our Country. In closing, I would like to caution all green card holders to please be careful. And, be aware, that your privilege as a green card holder can be revoked should an unfortunate event occur. through their season. Yes, they have a losing record but they are doing much better than predicted. Their last three games included three more losses. Six point losses to both Charlotte and Dallas and a fifteen point blow-out in Detroit have left Orlando with a 14 win, 27 loss record. With less than a month until the trade deadline,

February 21, many are starting to speculate what moves the Magic will make. Critics don’t seem to be concerned with the fact that the Magic have done much better than predicted or that many of their losses have been by four points or less. Instead, it seems they are focusing on the black and white of salary and contracts. Can the Magic afford some of these vets they have on the team for much longer? Do they even want to keep them on the team? At this point, most would say “no”. Get rid of these guys with heavy contracts and go for younger talent and draft picks, that is easier said than done. Al Harrington, who has yet to play for the Magic

due to injury, is definitely of trade value. If he is anywhere near the player he was when he was in Denver, he could take many teams to that next level, giving them that extra push. Because he is still a few weeks away from being able to play, teams won’t know exactly what they’re going to get from him. His salary is only 50% guaranteed the next two seasons. Jameer Nelson, although a fan favorite, is another one to be considered. Nelson is having one of his best seasons making him attractive to many teams. Is the $8.6 million Orlando would have to pay him next season too much to keep him around

instead of investing that money in a younger point guard? I don’t think so. Orlando has very few recognizable faces this

season and to trade them away would hurt the team more. Take JJ Redick for example-- he is probably the fan favorite. He’s played in Orlando his whole six year career and has also mentioned not wanting to leave. His wife, Chelsea Redick, has been seen at games with a “Keep JJ” sign. Redick is having his best season. His price will go up and many teams will be making him some impressive offers this summer when he becomes a free agent; that is, if the Magic don’t trade him first. I am certain that either JJ Redick or Aaron Afflalo will be traded. Both are great shooting guards but both will come at a cost to this rebuilding team. The Orlando Magic’s forwards are all being

speculated as well. Do the Magic want to pay Glen Davis his $6.4 million next season and $6.6 the following? Hedo Turkoglu has $12 million unguaranteed next season, $6 million is guaranteed. He has barely played this season, and from what I’ve seen he isn’t exactly in his prime. Let’s keep in mind; he makes more than players like Kevin Durant and Tim Duncan. Forward Josh McRoberts is almost a definite trade. His contract expires at the end of this season and will most likely be added to a trade. So what will that leave the Magic with next season? More than likely not all the players mentioned would get traded, as that would leave the Magic with three rookies and two two-year players. Any of those players would allow the Magic significant salary cap space and decent trade picks--and they are rebuilding right? The Magic are doing

well, and players are playing better than expected. Rob Hennigan has proven to know what he’s doing. The Magic did gain Nik Vucevic, Josh McRoberts, Aaron Afflalo, and Al Harrington, who will all be valued trades. The trade deadline is coming fast,

and rumors will and have already begun to fly. But with half a season yet to play, the Orlando Magic need to focus on one thing--winning. The rookies and young players need to learn how to finish a game and get in those last few plays. Next season the team will continue rebuilding; however the Magic can only use that as an excuse for so long before fans stray away.

from around the foundation of your home. Clean gutters often.You can’t avoid mold

spores completely. There are medications to help you deal with your allergies.Antihistamines can reduce

itching, sneezing and runny nose.

Non-drowsy over-the-counter antihistamines for itching, sneezing and runny nose include Alavert and Claritin. There are prescription drugs available, too, such as Allegra.Over the-counter decongestants

include Actifed, Drixoral and Sudafed. Nasal sprays for temporary

relief include Afrin and Neo-Synephrine. Don’t use decongestant nasal sprays for more than a few days because they can create “rebound” congestion. For many allergy sufferers

including me nasal corticosteroid sprays are highly effective treatments. These medications include Beconase, Flonase, Nasonex and Veramyst.

There are other allergy medications that work a bit differently. They include NasalCrom and Singulair.Immunotherapy, also known

as allergy shots or vaccinations, can alleviate allergy symptoms. However, shots don’t work on all allergies or all people. The shots are only moderately effective against mold allergy.Rinsing your nose with salt

water can help with nasal symptoms brought on by a mold allergy.There are convenient saline
